"Unexpected" (39" x 33" x 1.75") portrays the moments in our lives that we cannot control or predict; some are big and some small. Our past experience gives us the perspective to interpret them and ultimately to decide whether they are debilitating or transformative. This mixed media painting on deep wood panel includes collage, acrylic paint, ink, charcoal, and pencil.
