But these systems are changing. Noise pollution, declining prey, and disrupted habitats are transforming how orcas navigate and sustain their communities. As their environment shifts, so too must their behaviors—often with uncertain outcomes.
Deep Kinship speaks to this moment of transformation: not only in the ocean, but in our role within it. Protecting these animals requires acknowledging how human impact is reshaping the natural world—and choosing a different path forward.
