Tasting Notes is all about finding beauty in what’s in front of you and appreciating the order of what’s to come. What begins as the more ‘administrative’ side of a tasting (taking notes, nerdy checklists, and observation) quietly gives way to something more immersive, where smell, taste, and shared experience take over. Simplicity becomes the guiding force, compelling you to zero in on the wine and the company you keep. Adopting a bird’s-eye view, this perspective creates an intimate connection with the moment I shared at this vineyard with my brother and sister. Your attention is drawn to the star of the table: the pinot noir. Its vibrant burst of color forms a mesmerizing kaleidoscope of crimson, ruby, and scarlet hues.
